Creative Dance Limited was established in January 2000 under the guidance and supervision of Ms Sangeeta Ghosh who is a professional dancer of Uday Shankar's Creative Dance Style has been successful in establishing this company whose prime aim is in promoting Indian Contemporary Dance derived from Uday Shankar's technique of Creative Dance. Being innovative with a modern approach emphasizing on physical fitness through yoga and other training programmes, this style has received a very very satisfactory response from all over United Kingdom. Creative Dance Company has registered itself on the 30th April of 2001 as a Limited Company.
Aim and Objectives of Creative Dance Limited
'Creative Dance Ltd' will:
work for the promotion of 'New Age Dance' - an Indian contemporary dance form evolved by eminent dancer choreographer 'Uday Shankar'.
continue to evolve this dance form introducing new techniques but yet keeping the origin of Indianness.
support the groups whose involvement entitles them to nominate a person for the CoR in developing their own work.
seek funding for collaborative and group projects, performances and publications.
promote human value through dance, culture, art and aesthetics.
organise National and International cultural exchange programmes and community development programmes for the promotion of human understanding and establishing universal brotherhood through New Age Dance.
organise dance workshops at various levels including grass-root level.
search for talented young artistes from remote areas and promote excellence in their talents.
undertake various research projects in the field of Dance and Arts and Aesthetics and publish rare research works, reference books, etc.
undertake various training programmes for the dancers and the artists and also art directors and leaders.
value and celebrate diversity and the creative potential such diversity makes possible.
actively invite and encourage participation from the many diverse cultural backgrounds to offer on both a production and audience level.
develop versatile dancers and provide performing experience.
provide opportunities to the dancers to nurture their individual talents not only in the field of professional dancing but also in choreographing, teaching, stage-decor and administration.
