I am a South Asian Classical and Contemporary dancer. I have extensive training in Bharata Natyam and Odissi as well as different Asian folk and creative dance styles. I have completed a BA Dance Performance at Middlesex University training in Contemporary Dance Techniques (Graham, Cunningham and Humphrey), Choreography and Teaching Dance Techniques. I am currently performing and creating work in the Asian and Contemporary dance genres. In the past four years I have been choreographing independently and my work has been influenced by all the dance forms that excite me and in which I have sufficient training, such as various South Asian Classical, Folk and Creative dance styles, Ballet, Contemporary, Salsa, Jazz and Martial Arts. I had the opportunity to work with choreographers and directors such as Aditi Mangaldas, Shobana Jeyasingh, Mavin Khoo and Andrea Brookes.
